Does the competition call for animation, since it's Scene from a Movie?
Ohhhh I am so excited!

The most fundamental part of this comeptition is that you need to be taking reference from an existing movie. You can recreate a screenshot of it identically, or you can take style cues from the movie to make a scene that would fit perfectly in it
You can have animation in your scene, but we only require that you submit 2 images of screengrabs.

cheers.

We're looking for live-action films only. Obviously most action scenes contain 3D effects, etc, but the main stock of the film has to be your everyday live-action

Also, polycount restrictions? Or is this entirely up to whatever engine we choose to build for(ie Unreal, Cryengine...)

You can set your scene up however you want, as long as it looks solid and substantial in both of the angles you post up as your final submissions.
Tri-counts can be found on the competition site,
here.

A moodboard is a collection of references for your project. In this specific case, it'd be an image containing references and screengrabs from your movie
As explained in more detail above, only predominantly live-action films are allowed.
Cheers guys
