When it comes down to it - are you earning enough to live comfortably and still save a bit? I'm a student and have lived off 16,000 odd (aus) a year for nearly 4 years and have still managed to save 3000 grand.
Of course people will have different definitions of "comfortable" and living on 16,000 is by no means as comfy as I was living at home but it is livable.
I can afford beer... and food so I've had no qualms!
I'd be over the moon with an entry level job in the industry earning 30,000 a year (aus)
