you assume that by using other peoples photo's or brushes, you don't understand what you're doing, or understand less? And if current techniques become obsolete, then does any of this really matter? You'll have to learn the new technique anyway.

I didn't mean "If you do this, you don't know what your doing" ( which I would agree with you is definitely BS ) What I was trying to say was "If you don't know what your doing, and do this, you probably shouldn't." I'm saying that they screw themselves by doing it
if they don't know what they are doing - not the other way around.
But I probably could have worded it better. Sorry for the confusion.
