I'd reword and shorten your opening paragraph.

There's a lot of extra info in there and although you talk about using your skills a lot (actually you use the word far, far too much)... you never actually specify what those skills are.

Condensed down (but still kinda wordy) you can end up with;

"Welcome to my portfolio, I am Richard Gardner and I'm a game artist and designer currently studying a BA Creative Digital Media at Teesside University. When I graduate in June 2009, I will be actively seeking a position within the games industry.

My objective is to work within a structured and organized games company where I would be able to focus on my key skills as a [job title here] while being able to expand my skills in other areas as well as develop new ones."

Aside from that, there's not a lot to comment on because there's not a lot of work up there. I would have to say that your blog shouldn't be front-page. Your folio should be first and your blog should be hidden away somewhere else - or even on a different site entirely.
