What Zach's up to:

I've decided to start a thread up here since I'll be pretty active in creating art over the next few weeks.

Feel free to crit anything posted here, or make any suggestions that come to mind.

I could almost have used this one for the comp, but I won't be creating all of the textures for it.

Hey. It looks very good so far, love the style. The cabinets by the door look a bit different to your average square design. Nice rounded edges on them. Looking forward to seeing it textured.

Thanks for the comments guys.

As I said above I won't be the one making the textures for it , at least I won't be the only one.

Here's an idea of the style we're shooting for, simple diffuse only kinda thing. Textures here not by me (better than I could do).

That looks amazing, just wondering how did you get the lighting to look so good in there? As in what lights/setting did you use?

Not sure if you mean the office scene or the slurp machine. Either way I never really do anything fancy with renders. The office scene is just a blue pointlight and an ambient light in the background, with an AO render multiplied over it in Photoshop. The Slurp Machine is just Maya's default lighting setup, it's all in the texture there (which of course, I didn't make).

Oh, thats why I don't have any of those lights. I use 3ds max and I want lighting like the office one.
