Been a little while since I posted anything up. I am starting to get into the swing to doing things a lot faster as well. I modelled this yesterday and just finished the UV's there now and will start texturing later tonight with the plan to finish tomorrow.
I thought I would have a go at one of those wall switches you see beside doors like in Gears 2 etc. Let me know what you think so far. Thanks ![]() ![]() |

Nice UV layout,
Its looks solid, maybe add some more detail on the right of the actual button, it looks really empty, but its cool, keep it up!

i can't tell much more, than the others said, on the new model.
but i can tell you, that you definatly need a new light setup inside of max, because on the pics you posted i can't see any normal or spec map, but i think it's just a matter of light, so put some lights in there, please ![]() |

Just to update on the wall panel, I was very disappointed with the texturing didn't turn out too good. Made a good few models since then and I must post a few of the better ones up here. I am getting though a model or two a day at the moment. Just trying to do as many as possible to get loads of practice at modelling and Unwrapping and I texture the better ones.
Anyway I thought I would post a map I finished today. It’s based on the one from the UT3 Video tutorials and has more or less the same layout apart from a few of my own variations and I did a different style of deco. So I am looking for feedback on lighting etc, I think it’s a good bit better that my past lighting attempts. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
