Interesting read, thanks for sharing. Looks like you received a large quantity of polycounts, but another thing i would definitly add is the importance of the mesh. Key models can have more tris than unimpotant meshes (comparatively then). This is probably one of those vague things, but it can come in handy when you know the polycount of other props / characters in the scene...
