This is just my opinion, but I think his army cloths texture is kinda too detailed for a cartoony look.
You could make his texture more cartoony by toning down the realism, maybe editing it in photshop. (the skin, bag, and teddy textures are nice looking though).
(I hope this advise doesnt make it worse though lol If its not the look you wanted just ignore me lol)

Lastly, maybe his boots are kinda too small.
But again, this is just my opinion.
